Fly from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma and vehicle transfer to Lukoma village and dhow boat transfer (approx. 45 min) to the Mahale. Afternoon/early evening forest walks (if time allows).

You will spend a full day chimpanzee tracking in Mahale. Chimpanzees normally move in search of food and nest wherever there’s an abundant food source such as their favorite fruit. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for morning chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for hot lunch. afternoon boat safari in Mahale, see the hippos, take a short river cruise, and try your hand at local methods of freshwater fishing. .
